Marion County deputies searching for missing woman last seen in Dunnellon

Teresa Capps Martyn was last seen near SW Azalea Court around 4:30 a.m.; her phone and wallet were found inside her abandoned vehicle

DUNNELLON, Fla.Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching for a missing woman who was last seen in the early morning hours Wednesday in Dunnellon.

Teresa Capps Martyn was last seen at approximately 4:30 a.m. on July 22 in the 5100 block of SW Azalea Court in Dunnellon, where witnesses reported she was yelling for help.

Vehicle Found Abandoned in Rainbow Park Estates

Deputies later located Martyn’s vehicle abandoned on the side of the road in the Rainbow Park Estates area. Her phone and wallet were still inside the vehicle.

A spokesperson for the MCSO told News 6 that it’s possible she was intoxicated or under the influence when she got out of her car.

Deputies also confirmed that Martyn was last spotted at a Circle K located at SW 60th Ave. and W. Highway 40 around 7:40 a.m. She left that location on foot.

Martyn was last seen wearing a red crop top, a white skirt, and red-and-black Jordan sneakers. Investigators note that one of her shoes was found near the location where she was last seen — she may be wearing only one shoe or may be barefoot.
