3 arrested after gunfire erupts during fight at Orlando parking garage, police say

Three men were arrested in connection with a parking garage shooting in downtown Orlando. (OPD)

ORLANDO, Fla. – Three men were arrested after a fight between two groups escalated and a gun was fired inside a parking garage, Orlando police said.

Police officers responded around 2:30 a.m. to a reported shooting Sunday at the Liberty Parking Garage on E. Pine St.

Officers quickly detained two vehicles as they tried to leave the garage. An investigation found that an altercation between two groups turned into a physical fight. During the confrontation, one person retrieved a firearm, and the weapon was discharged, police said

No one was struck by gunfire, police said.

Two firearms were seized as part of the investigation. Three individuals were arrested:

  • Michael Espinoza, 20, was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and reckless display of a firearm.
  • Isaiah Seeraj, 20, was charged with hit-and-run with property damage.
  • Charlie Lopez, 21, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted delinquent.

The investigation is ongoing.
