Police said Davis listed an ad on Craigslist to have a house cleaned.

When a person called about the ad, Davis disclosed that he was an MP/Military Police Officer from Patrick Air Force Base and needed a house cleaned in the 2100 block of Redwood Circle, police said.

Davis told the callers it was a government contract and the house was going to eventually be given to a "wounded warrior," according to Palm Bay police.

Davis said since the job was a government contract that he would have to search the person cleaning the house, police said. Investigators currently believe Davis subjected two different female victims to illegal and improper searches on separate occasions.

"Palm Bay works very closely with the city's active duty military, as well as the veteran community," Police Chief Mark Renkens said. "We take this type of misrepresentation and deception very seriously."

Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to call the Palm Bay Police Department 321-952-3456 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
