Man shot, killed at Orlando apartment complex

Victim identified as Jefrey Concepcion

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 25-year-old man was shot and killed early Thursday at an Orlando apartment complex, police said.

Orlando police said Jefrey Concepcion died in the shooting, which was reported at 12:13 a.m. at the Regency Gardens Apartments on Rosebriar Way off Semoran Boulevard.

Police said officers were called to the apartments and found Concepcion in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. Concepcion was taken to a hospital, where he died, police said.

Alex James Jones was later arrested on second-degree murder charges, police said.

Police said Jones was arguing with some people about a stolen shotgun when Jones shot Concepcion.

Jones was found by police at a nearby 7-Eleven, where he was taken into custody.
