Woman charged with DUI with 4 children in car, police say

Woman also charged with child neglect

MELBOURNE, Fla. – A Rockledge woman was arrested in Melbourne for DUI after being stopped with four children, ages 2-16, in the car with her, Melbourne police said.

Officers said a concerned citizen called the Melbourne police Saturday around 11:30 p.m. to report a reckless driver driving her car without headlights and weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed.

Jacquelyn Nichole Tadrous, 33, of Rockledge was stopped in the area of Lake Washington Road and U.S. 1, she appeared to be under the influence.

Tadrous also had open containers of alcohol in the car and driving with a suspended license while on probation for a previous DUI arrest and conviction from July of 2015. In addition four children ages 2, 3, 14 and 16 years old were in the car with her.

Tadrous was charged with DUI, child neglect and violation of probation.
