Eatonville, Fla. – Official results from the Orange County Supervisor of Elections show Ruth “Ruthi” Critton won Eatonville’s mayoral contest with 175 votes, or about 41.8%.
Angela Y. Thomas received 201 votes, or about 48.7%, in the race for town council Seat 2, topping Eric McIntyre (181 votes, 43.8%) and Ryan Novak (31 votes, 7.5%).

LaDwyana Ware‑Jordan won council Seat 3 with 296 votes, about 71.5%, to Dwayne A. Rackard’s 118 votes, or about 28.5%.
Mayor Angie Gardner did not seek re-election to a fourth term. She has filed to run for the newly drawn District 7 seat on the Orange County Commission.
The Canvassing Board will meet on March 11, 2026, to verify the results of the election.
Eatonville, founded by African-Americans and long described as the nation’s oldest continuously incorporated Black town, picked replacements for the mayor and two council seats in a turnout decided in a small number of votes.
