WATCH IT AGAIN: Vulcan rocket launches national security mission from Florida Liftoff took place at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – United Launch Alliance on Tuesday launched a Vulcan rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
The launch ultimately took off at 8:56 p.m.
The Vulcan rocketed two U.S. national security satellites into geosynchronous orbit more than 22,000 miles above Earth for the Space Force during the USSF-106 mission.
The Space Force’s 45th Weather Squadron predicted 80% odds of “go for launch” weather, citing a slight probability of cumulus cloud violations and a low-to-moderate risk of solar activity.
