SpaceX sets new yearly launch record. Here’s where things stand 2025 launches surpass NASA’s lifetime record of shuttle launches
BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – SpaceX’s 136th rocket launch of the year in the United States passed NASA’s 135 total lifetime launches of the space shuttle.
SpaceX on Sunday morning launched 28 Starlink satellites into orbit from Cape Canaveral, marking the 89th launch of the year from Brevard County, which help set the record for SpaceX launches in a single year nationwide.
With two months left in 2025, it’s unclear how high SpaceX’s launch record could climb by the end of the year.
