Sunday morning shooting in Orlando leaves 1 dead, 2 injured, police say

Shooting occurred on Candlewyck Drive and Fish Court

ORLANDO, Fla. – A shooting early Sunday morning left one man dead and two others injured, according to officials from the Orlando Police Department.

One of those victims is in critical condition at a local hospital, police said. The other was shot in the leg and is stable. Officials have not released their names.

The shooting occurred around 4 a.m. on the 1500 block of Candlewyck Drive in Orlando. Officers said the victim who was shot in the leg told them that he and his friends were parked at Fish Court and Candlewyck Drive when two men approached them, brandishing a gun. Authorities said that victim ran when he was shot in the leg, while the other two victims were found on Fish Court.

The man who died of his injuries was identified as Raul J. Santiago, 21.

The suspects are only identified as two men in a truck. OPD is actively investigating.
