Video shows motorcyclist rip mirror off car in Orlando

Orange County Sheriff's Office searches for culprits

ORLANDO, Fla. – An Orange County woman shot video of an incident Saturday night, in which a motorcyclist can be seen ripping the side-view mirror off her car.

The woman, who didn't want her name made public out of fear, told News 6 she had just finished getting gas at the intersection of Dean Road and Curry Ford Road around 10 p.m.

She said when she got onto Curry Ford Road, she soon found her car, with her sister-in-law and a 7-year-old in the back seat, surrounded by motorcycles.

She said one of them punched out the glass on the side-view mirror on her passenger side, and that's when she said she started taking video with her cellphone.

"It’s scary," she said. "It’s very scary."

In the video, a motorcyclist is seen using his arm to smash a side-view mirror off the car.

The woman's sister-in-law is seen talking to a 911 dispatcher, and the motorcyclist is seen attempting to grab the phone away from her.

That's when he and other motorcyclists start driving away.

"The police were telling me to stop and pull over," she said. "I told him I can’t do that because if I do that, they can attack me again."

The woman said her sister-in-law, the child and she returned home to file their report with the Orange County Sheriff's Office, which confirmed to News 6 that officials are investigating the incident.

The woman said she wants the people involved to the prosecuted.

"It was anger -- pure anger," she said. "How come you’re attacking a person that you don’t know?"

If you recognize the people in the video, call the Orange County Sheriff's Office at 407-254-7000.
