Hispanic Heritage Month ended on Oct. 15, and ClickOrlando.com ended it with a few stories about Hispanic heritage in Central Florida!

Reporter Ezzy Castro spoke with OCSO sergeant Angel Cirino about recruiting Hispanic deputies and a free program OCSO offers to Spanish-speaking residents to give them an opportunity to learn more about the sheriff’s office at no cost. Read that story here!

Ezzy also outlined how she makes cafecito for her family and friends! The secret to a great cafecito is the espumita, according to Ezzy. You can find that recipe here.

Looking ahead to Veterans Day, Native American Heritage Month

Veterans Day is Nov. 11, so be on the lookout for ClickOrlando.com’s coverage! We’ll show you what deals are available and where the Central Florida celebrations will take place here.

Until then, check out our Serving Those Who Served stories! Read 102-year-old Navy veteran Ima Black’s story here, or the story of how veteran Yomari Cruz adjusted to civilian life after spending a year in Afghanistan.

November is Native American Heritage Month, so send in your ideas for how we can honor our Central Florida Native American community! There are several indigenous exhibits you can visit across Central Florida. Check with your local history museum!
