Hi there Insiders! Meteorologist Michelle Morgan here — and let’s be real, the weather has been extra lately.

The heat’s been cranking up as we head toward the first day of summer on June 20, and those sea breezes? They’ve been stirring up some wild storms with heavy rain and a whole lot of lightning.

You’ve been sending in some seriously cool photos — like this lightning bolt in Orlando. So impressive!

⚡ Rockin’ storms bring ominous cloud to Central Florida

It’s certainly looking (and feeling) more like summertime in Central Florida. What’s going on, guys? Meteorologist Jonathan Kegges back with you.

I feel like summertime in Central Florida should be the next Hallmark movie, but I digress. Anyway, we have had two stormy days as the wet season has come roaring back.

Wednesday night produced an ominous cloud known as a wall cloud. Click this link to watch the video submitted by a PinIt user. You can clearly see the clouds rotating. I talk much more about these clouds in this story here.

Have you ever had one of those nights where you just toss and turn, and you don’t get much sleep? Hey there Insiders! It’s meteorologist Samara Cokinos here to say I have had PLENTY of nights like this.

🌀 June above-average hurricane forecasts hold, but tropics are quiet. What’s this mean?

Welcome back to your favorite weather newsletter everyone, News 6 meteorologist David Nazario here with some new info on our Atlantic hurricane season.

Colorado State University has issued their updated forecast for the month of June. Their numbers have stayed the same... or have they?

(Copyright 2025 by WKMG ClickOrlando - All rights reserved.)

Believe it or not, looking heavily through all the numerical data they provide alongside their final forecast, a lot has changed. A number of the global computer models they use have altered their numbers to favor a more active hurricane season.

But June has been distinctly quiet since we rang in the start of the season together, right?

I want to make sure you’re aware; whatever happens early on in the tropics doesn’t correlate to what occurs down the road. Last year taught us this lesson big time after Category 5 Beryl ripped through the Caribbean. We had some dead space, and then months later things really amped up again.

I have the full breakdown of all the forecast changes and information for you HERE.

🌀You can always find me providing you with all your latest tropical weather outlooks to keep you ahead of what’s potentially brewing out across the Atlantic Ocean. And you can tune in on my live updates on Instagram at @wxcenter_nazario M-F @ 8:30 a.m.

🐄 Cow burps and climate change?

Hi friends! Do I have your attention now? It’s meteorologist Julie Broughton.

You know I’m a sucker for any story where I get to pet an animal, so photojournalist Paul Giorgio and I were excited to travel to the University of Florida’s Dairy Research Unit to learn about a new feed supplement being tested there.

(WKMG-TV)

Check out this story to find out how this new type of feed can improve milk quality and potentially cool the planet. Oh, and you also get to meet a very cool cow named Gator Debbie.
