🧠Can AI really predict hurricanes?
Last week, Google, yes that Google, made a pretty cool announcement introducing their brand new AI model specifically for tracking hurricanes. What’s going on, guys? Meteorologist Jonathan Kegges here.
It’s not perfect, but it shows promise during its testing over the last two seasons.
Traditional models use physics and math equations and large supercomputers to crunch data into solutions for meteorologists to analyze. AI is a little different. Here’s more with some examples of its performance in testing over the past two seasons.
