Orlando’s Uncle Sam 🐊🫵

An alligator wearing a patriotic top hat, glaring and pointing at me on a poster, will easily recruit me for a Gatorland visit.

Naturally, I had to get AI to help me out with that image.

Hello, subscribers. It’s Haley, the voice of “In the Loop: Theme Park Scoops.”

My favorite theme park-related story this week is about the latest Gatorland rescue. A nuisance alligator was causing problems in The Villages, so a trapper brought Uncle Sam to Gatorland.

If an Independence Day gator rescue happens next year, I propose the name “Yankee Doodle.”

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex

A new KSC tour stop 🚀

The Gantry at LC-39, an immersive, interactive experience that reimagines the historic Launch Complex 39 gantry, is now open at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. (Kennedy Space Center)

Rocket launches are one of life’s simplest pleasures in Florida and now, a one-of-a-kind experience at the Kennedy Space Center replicates the thrill of a real rocket engine test.

The Gantry at LC-39 has been added to the popular bus tour and it’s an up-close opportunity with science and nature.

Universal Orlando

Epic numbers 💰

We’re in the midst of an epic summer, and new numbers spotlight the economic surge that Universal’s new theme park is fueling in Orange County.

The grand opening of Epic Universe allowed for a record-breaking May in terms of Tourist Development Tax (TDT) collections.

We should get an idea of what kind of bankroll Epic Universe is supplying for Comcast when the company hosts its earnings call at the end of the month.

A new ‘Art’ exhibit 🔪

Universal Orlando Resort unleashes serial killer, Art the Clown, film franchise "Terrifier". (Universal Destinations & Experiences)

The kickoff to Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights is around the corner, and I had a strong suspicion going into this week that an IP house announcement was coming.

Based on the slasher film series, “Terrifier” is making its debut this year. Guests will step into Art the Clown’s “gruesome” Funhouse and try to escape from becoming his next victim.

This week also marked the launch of Fear Pass sales.

Walt Disney World

Christmas news in July 🎄

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party runs on select nights starting Nov. 8. (Walt Disney World)

If you’re dreaming of a Walt Disney World Christmas, how about making plans for one?

This week, Disney dropped details for a bunch of Christmastime events, including Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

I put together a holiday roundup that includes important dates.

When snapping photos at the parks, be sure to post them on our PinIt! page.

I took this photo below while checking out the emperor penguins at SeaWorld.
