I had high hopes that some familiar voices would be attending the “A Goofy Movie” Throwback Premiere on Thursday. My millennial heart did an “I2I” dance, as Bill Farmer (Goofy), Jason Marsden (Max) and Kevin Lima (film director and Lester) surprised the audience for a pre-show panel discussion.
“A Goofy Movie” premiered at the AMC Disney Springs (formerly AMC Pleasure Island 10) on April 5, 1995.
The trio in the photo above is small compared to the throwback photo in the background. Farmer revealed that the outfit he was wearing for the celebration on Thursday is the same one he wore for the 1995 premiere.
Destination D23 is diving deep into ’90s. You can find details and the list of events in this web story.
I plan on putting together lots of highlights in next week’s newsletter.
