I have something to admit ...

Setting The Stage (Copyright 2025 by WKMG ClickOrlando - All rights reserved.)

I never know what to put for the headline for these emails! 😆

Hey, I’m News 6 producer Brooke Savage, the writer behind this Setting The Stage newsletter.

As per usual, I’m keeping track of the shows going on where you live, so you can make plans to see them.

Let’s take a look at what’s going on. ⤵

👉 100+ shows to choose from!

Daniela Soledade is performing at Dr. Phillips Center on Sept. 5. (Daniela Soledade)

United Arts of Central Florida has released a list of fall shows, and there’s quite a diverse selection to choose from.

The lineup has something for everyone. It includes Afrobeat, opera, Latin jazz and folk with performances by both emerging local talent and nationally-recognized artists.

I posted some of the highlights.

🚲 *Cue “Stranger Things” theme music*

Alex Hamilton, Lilly Scarlett and Drew Lofredo play Lucas, Mike and Dustin in "Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical." (Rachel Elizabeth Photography)

Just before Netflix releases the fifth and final season of “Stranger Things” later this year, you can get your own fix of 1980s Hawkins right here in Central Florida.

“Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical” takes you back to 1983 where you follow Mike, Eleven, Lucas, Dustin and the rest of the crew for a night of adventure.

You can expect a trip into the Upside Down, dancing interdimensional creatures, thrills and even justice for everyone’s favorite missing character, Barb.

This show sounds like so much fun! The musical premieres Sept. 19 at Theatre South Playhouse in Orlando. It runs for several weeks. Here’s the info you need.

🤣 Backstage antics take center stage in “Noises Off”

Full cast of "Noises Off": Kristl Courtemanche (Brooke), Doug Sontag (Lloyd), Douglas Rauscher (Timothy), Justin Rupp (Garry), Stefani Bush (Poppy) (on stairs) Terrence Girard (Selsdon), Edward Johnson (Freddy), Sarah Hall (Belinda). (RAY ASIALA)

An interesting show that includes slamming doors, flying sardines and actors forgetting their lines is coming to Surfside Playhouse in Cocoa Beach.

That description may sound like a mess, but don’t worry. It’s all part of a show where the actors try to hold everything together on-and-off stage.

“Noises Off” debuts tonight and runs through Sept. 28.

Tickets are $32 for adults and $28 for seniors, military and students. Tap here for info on what to expect.
