COCOA BEACH, Fla. – An interesting show that includes slamming doors, flying sardines and actors forgetting their lines is coming to the Surfside Playhouse along the coast.
That description may sound like a mess, but don’t worry. It’s all part of a show where the actors try to hold everything together on-and-off stage.

Garry Lee Posey is the director behind the show. He said they had auditions in July but started working on the script in June.
“There’s a good bit of engineering with the set because the scripts calls for multiple doors, at least two levels, and to be able to see both the front and back side of the set,” Posey said.
He also said the show has a ton of props that are necessary for the humor.
He was drawn to the show because he feels as though it’s relatable.
“The archetypes and tropes that appear in the play are exaggerated versions of both myself and people I have worked with. We like to say that theatre is a mirror that we point to the world. With ‘Noises Off,’ this is a mirror that we, the artists, are looking right into and asked to create, like a plate of humble pie right in the face.”
“Noises Off” runs Sept. 12-28.
Tickets are $32 for adults and $28 for seniors, military and students. Click here for ticket information.
