Strong winds, heavy rain, and high tides bring coastal flooding threat to Central Florida 🌊🌧️💨
Hi everyone, Meteorologist Michelle Morgan here. As Jonathan mentioned, the highest tides of the year are here.
Unfortunately, strong northeasterly winds and high tides combined with scattered heavy rain will increase the flooding threat along the coast, streams and rivers.
Because of this setup, a flood warning will go into effect for parts of Central Florida on Friday, along with numerous coastal alerts.
🍁 Cool season making its entrance to Central Florida?
Meteorologist David Nazario here to discuss something very different from the tropics. We’re talking cooler temperatures and a fairly strong front expected to sink down into our neighborhoods this Friday.
Some of our computer models are even alluding to temperatures never escaping the mid-to-upper 70s through Saturday and Sunday! Drier air will also be swooping in alongside the trough/cold front combo, meaning these lower temps will actually FEEL as they should. We’re still working to dial in what the most probable solution is not only for our temperatures, but more so the storm system that will help to drag them on in to the Florida area.
You can take a deep dive alongside me HERE where we breakdown everything we know so far leading up to what could be shaping up to our first beautiful, fall weekend.
