We kicked off the week on a chilly note but in true Florida fashion, the cold never sticks around for long. Central Florida is warming right back up, with afternoon highs climbing into the low 80s this weekend — a comfortably warm stretch ahead. Click here for your latest forecast.

If you’re looking for something fun to do, I’ve got a great mix of indoor and outdoor events lined up. And for the first time ever in Lake County, a brand-new attraction is lighting up the sky this weekend: the Balloon Glow, Laser, and Drone Show. Expect glowing hot air balloons, dazzling lasers, and a full drone display. It’s a family-friendly event, so bring your lawn chairs and blankets and relax under the lights.

We’re climbing back toward warmth headed for the weekend. I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling this whiplash big time and am hitting the vitamins hard, just to be safe!

When will it return? Could these wild cold/hot swings become a more repetitive occurrence around here? I have a pretty interesting deep dive ready for you, talking about our evolving climate right HERE if you want to read more. The info might be pretty eye-opening.
