In the current era, Disney World rumors and announcements spread online almost instantly.

Long before fan-driven social media, Central Florida was rife with speculation as an unknown buyer quietly snapped up thousands of acres across what would eventually become Walt Disney World.

This week, Orlando city leaders, Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle, and Mickey Mouse were in downtown Orlando to unveil a special plaque that highlights the exact spot where the “Florida Project” went public.

Sixty years since that announcement, a once-sleepy region into the theme park capital of the world, fueling decades of tourism growth and jobs.

It’s a topiary takeover at EPCOT.

The International Flower and Garden Festival is officially underway, bringing colorful gardens, 60+ character topiaries, interactive exhibits, and the Garden Rocks weekend concert series—all included with EPCOT admission.

You just knew Universal Orlando had something in store for Universal Epic Universe’s first MAR10 Day.

Starting March 10, the resort will throw a celebration tied to “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie," with movie-inspired photo ops, treats, and merch.

Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida is emphasizing inclusion and accessibility by adding a hearing aid to Peppa’s little brother, George.

The costume change mirrors an episode in which Peppa’s younger brother is diagnosed with moderate hearing loss in one ear, park officials said.

Spring meets summer 😎

Aloha to Summer at Aquatica Orlando (Aquatica)

Aquatica Orlando is trading ordinary weekends for Hawaiian shirts and splashy beats at Aloha to Summer.

During the limited-run island party series, guests can expect leis and a welcome sip, Polynesian Realm dance parties with water sprayers, rotating weekend crafts and games, and island-inspired food and drinks.
