Want a teeth whitening? In need of implants? Best of Central Florida looks into all things mouth health

Our teeth are typically the first thing people notice about us, and having good teeth and mouth health is so important.

Justin Clark and Makaila Nichols, hosts of “Best of Central Florida,” went on a mission to find their favorite dental practices so as to share with you.

Highland Lakes Dental -- Makaila’s choice

Oral hygiene is important at every stage of life, and Dr. Ishbel Nieves-Reyes said at Highland Lakes Dental, who stressed that the staff is always striving to make its patients feel like family, adding that they ultimately want to make sure all your teeth are in good shape.

“We were not meant to lose our teeth, so we definitely want to keep them for as long as possible,” she said. “We still have to eat when we’re 80.”

The practice handles restorations, crowns, bridges, dentures, partial dentures, implants, periodontal and gum disease, whitening and cleaning.

D5 Ultra Express Implant Center -- Justin’s choice

Dr. Atila Miranda, at D% Ultra Implant Center, said the practice has cutting-edge technology for anyone who is having teeth problems.

The D5 implant solution is essentially an express way for people to get full mouth reconstruction.

“This is for people who need a full mouth reconstruction,” Miranda said. “We extract the teeth and replace with implants, with a turnaround of only one week.”

In previous methods, patients could go months with temporaries before receiving their full implants.
