Scott Frost promises to bring exciting brand of offense to UCF

New head coach to make $1.7 million per year

ORLANDO, Fla. – Scott Frost says he plans to bring an exciting offensive brand of football to his new job at UCF.

The new Knights coach said Wednesday that he left his job as Oregon's offensive coordinator because he thinks UCF is a better job with lots of potential.

He says he will start immediately, though it's yet to be determined whether he will return to coach the Ducks in the postseason.

Frost's agreement is for five years at $1.7 million annually. UCF also holds an option of a two-year extension. He will have a pool of $2.3 million to hire his staff.

His buyout for accepting another head coaching job is $850,000.
