VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – It’s always a great time to talk racing, especially with the historic Rolex 24 just six weeks away.
The biggest names in the race were in Daytona on Tuesday preparing for January’s 24-hour sports car endurance race.
About 20 race teams hit the track for testing.
Last year’s winners were Helio Castroneves and Ricky Taylor. Castroneves and Taylor were among the drivers getting laps in while getting reacquainted with their super-fast cars and the Daytona Speedway Course. Two-time Daytona 500 champion Jimmie Johnson tested on the track as well.
