ORLANDO, Fla. – One of Central Florida’s newest pro sports teams is getting ready to serve up more fun and success at UCF’s Addition Financial Arena on Thursday night.
The Orlando Valkyries are back for year two. The pro volleyball team and its league made their debuts one year ago and formed a strong following.
News 6 checked in with Valkyries in training this week in Orlando.

The team is loaded with talent and experience with 15 players coming from top college programs like USC, Oregon, Minnesota, UCF. The preseason poll ranks the Valkyries second in the Pro Volleyball Federation.
The Valkyries play all their home matches at Addition Financial Arena beginning with their season opener. They host the San Diego Mojo on Thursday at 7 p.m.
