Major League Pickleball’s Orlando Squeeze hosts 2025 season opener in Lake Nona

ORLANDO, Fla. – Now is the time many Pickleball fans have been waiting for. The 2025 Major League Pickleball season is kicking off in Central Florida.

On Thursday, Major League Pickleball’s Orlando Squeeze is hosting the 2025 MLP season opener in Lake Nona.

From Thursday, April 24, through Sunday, April 27, the courts will be buzzing with pickleball action at the USTA National Campus to kick off the upcoming season.

The event marks the beginning of MLP’s 10 regular-season events for the year, brining together 16 premier teams in Central Florida.

The Orlando Squeeze formed in 2023 and has already racked up a championship title. In the 2025 Major League Pickleball draft, the Squeeze made several key additions to their roster, which now includes top-ranked male player Federico Staksrud, Dylan Frazier, Lacy Schneemann, Samantha Parker, Tom Evans, and Alli Phillips.

There are several events planned for the occasion, including a Court Crossover Exhibition with former Orlando Magic legends like Rashard Lewis, Terrence Ross, and more teaming up with Squeeze pickleball pros to benefit the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation.
