Orlando Pride unveils Unity Kit honoring Pulse 10 years later

New jersey features vibrant pattern of interlocking ribbons

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Pride on Thursday unveiled a new jersey kit that will honor the “strength, togetherness and unbreakable spirit” of the community after the Pulse mass shooting 10 years ago.

The Unity Kit, which is the club’s new secondary jersey through the 2027 National Women’s Soccer League season, will feature a vibrant pattern of interlocking ribbons.

The jersey also features a tag depicting a dove carrying an olive branch, a symbol of peace and love, and the kit will have the Pride’s purple throughout the name and number embellishments on the cuff and collar.

The Orlando Pride will also donate $20,000 as part of the launch from jersey sale to The Center Orlando, an organization that provides education, advocacy and support for the LGBT+ community and its allies.

“Orlando’s strength has always come from its people, and the Unity Kit reflects the love, resilience and courage that define this city,” Kaia Hyde, VP of Community Impact & DEI for Orlando Pride and Orlando City SC and Executive Director of the Orlando Soccer Foundation, said in a statement. “In the days after the Pulse tragedy, our community adopted a simple but powerful message: ‘keep dancing.’ It became a reminder that even in the face of unimaginable loss, Orlando would choose optimism, unity and love. This jersey honors that spirit, and we’re proud that its launch will directly support The Center Orlando and the vital work they do for our community.”

The Unity Kit is available for purchase on ShopOrlandoPride.com.

Fans can also purchase the kit at the club’s jersey launch 6 p.m. Thursday at The Final Whistle at Thornton Park Pub. The event will feature a DJ, silent disco dance party, giveaways and appearances from Orlando Pride players Julie Doyle, Oihane and Hannah Anderson, along with head coach Seb Hines and VP of Soccer Operations and general manager Caitlin Carducci.
