Joel Oyola has been a member of WKMG News 6 since 2024, where he serves as a photojournalist, cameraman, and editor, covering stories that matter to the Central Florida community.
His career in the media industry began in 1994 as an audio technician, a role that allowed him to travel the world working alongside internationally recognized artists. In 1998, he began his television career as a cameraman at TeleOro Channel 13 (WORO-TV) in Puerto Rico. Later, in 2010, he joined WAPA TV Puerto Rico, where he continued to build his expertise in television production and news coverage.
In 2017, Joel relocated to Florida to join WOFL FOX 35 in Lake Mary. In 2024, he became part of WKMG News 6, where he continues to bring his experience and dedication to visual journalism, capturing stories that inform, engage, and make an impact on the community.
