Staci Spanos is an award-winning broadcast journalist with more than three decades of experience anchoring and reporting for top-rated television news programs. She is known for her authoritative yet approachable on-air presence, sharp editorial judgment, and audience-focused storytelling, and has built a distinguished career delivering live, fast-paced newscasts and producing compelling journalism.
For over 10 years, Staci served as lead anchor of The Morning Show at WJXT-TV, the No. 1–rated morning news program. Throughout her career, she has secured interviews with national and world leaders and prominent cultural figures. Her work has been recognized with some of the industry’s highest honors, including a prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for her documentary on the Gainesville Student Murders, as well as multiple awards from the Associated Press.
Staci earned a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication from the University of Florida and she serves on the advisory board for the University of North Florida’s student media outlet, Spinnaker, mentoring emerging journalists.
Staci has been married to her husband, Tom, for over twenty years, and has two wonderful children, Evan and Zachary, who are both now in college. When she's not working, you can find her outside doing something fun, trying to feel like a kid again; at the gym; reading; or cleaning her house, because it seems as if household chores never end.
