SeaWorld sees record attendance in 2011

Orlando park rebounds from two-year slump

ORLANDO, Fla. – After two years of struggles, SeaWorld Orlando had a record year in 2011.

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment says its rebounded from a two-year slump.

The Orlando Sentinel reports attendance across its 10 parks climbed more than 5 percent last year to about 23.6 million visitors in all.

It's the first year-to-year increased since 2008, when SeaWorld opened Aquatica.

The paper also reports SeaWorld Orlando had a record year in 2011.
