Disney removes Confederate flag from Epcot attraction Flag removed from display at park's American Adventure
ORLANDO, Fla. – Walt Disney World has removed a version of the Confederate flag from a display in Epcot's American Adventure.
According to the Orlando Sentinel , the flag was among more than 40 in an American history display.
The American Adventure uses animatronics to take audience members through American history. It makes references to both the Civil War and slavery.
The Confederate flag has been under scrutiny since the June shooting of nine people inside a historically black South Carolina church.
Local 6 reached out to Disney executives to get further comment about the removal of the flag, but those calls have not been returned.
