WINTER HAVEN, Fla – It’s the home to New York City, Washington D.C., Las Vegas, the Daytona International Speedway and Kennedy Space Center, but soon it will be the coolest place to chill out at Legoland Florida Resort.
Beginning next week, Legoland Florida Resort will begin installing a new shade structure over the top of its popular Miniland USA.
“Our iconic area will begin undergoing a huge transformation to include brand new shade structures to make our LEGO models even more enjoyable to view by this summer,” officials said in a posting on Facebook.
The transformation is just a piece of the park’s plans to celebrate its 10th birthday this year.
The park is also throwing back its pricing on annual passes to celebrate the big year. Officials said the new Play & Party Pass will cost Florida residents $99. The pass allows guests to enjoy 12 months of admission with select blockout dates, free parking, admission to select annual events and discounts on other Legoland Florida tickets. For non-Florida residents, the next best annual pass is the “Awesomer Pass,” which retails for $179.
The park is also offering its Preschooler Pass for a limited time. The pass grants children ages 3 and 4 admission for the year to both Legoland Florida and its neighboring waterpark. The Preschooler Pass does include blockout dates, but allows access to select annual events like PirateFest weekends, Lego friends weekends and heroes weekends. Guests can book the pass till Feb. 3.
The resort also announced new entertainment options coming this year. The new show “Brickbeard’s Watersports Stunt Show” begins February 12 at the park.
Legoland Florida is also adding pirate fest and LEGO friends weekends, a master model builders experience and a new 4-D film at the Legoland fun town theater.
