Among the sweet and savory selections, which snacks reign supreme?

ORLANDO, Fla. Universal Epic Universe has a lot to offer across five themed areas.

There are the rides, the shows, the character meet-and-greets, the ambiance, and of course, the food.

I recently went to Epic Universe and got to sample a lot of eats from across the park.

Here were some of my favorite eats.

How To Train Your Dragon - Isle Of Berk

The first park I hit was Isle of Berk, and I felt ready to eat like a Viking: with my hands.

Grog and Gruel (Copyright 2025 by WKMG ClickOrlando - All rights reserved.)

I got the PB&J - pork, bacon, & jam mac & cheese cone from Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel ($15.99).

This really hit the spot, there was pulled pork on top and about halfway down. It was really good and tender, and really cheesy.

In my opinion, the roll was the highlight, and by the time I finished everything, the bread had soaked up a bunch of the cheese.

Overall, I give it an 8/10.

All the stands sold were mac & cheese cones.

Aside from the one I got, they also had a cone with goldfish sprinkles throughout ($13.99), and one with Nashville-style pulled chicken, hot honey, Calabrian peppers, chimichurri, and crispy onions ($15.99).

Super Nintendo World

Next, I hit Super Nintendo World. At this point, it was the middle of the afternoon, I was hot, and ready for something to cool down.

I stopped by The Bubbly Barrell, where they sell one thing and one thing only: The DK Crush Float ($18.99).

Basically, it’s banana Dole Whip on top of pineapple soda in a waffle cone.

It was really refreshing, but you might want to share it with someone. And it came with a cool souvenir barrel mug.

In all, I gave it a 7/10.

Dark Universe

After spending a bunch of time at Super Nintendo World, I went to Dark Universe next. I spent a good amount of time there and picked up a couple of snacks.

First, the Frank & Friends Pretzel (or Frankenpretzel as I prefer to call it) from De Lacey’s Cottage ($12.99).

It’s a run-of-the-mill soft pretzel that also comes with a white cheese dipping sauce, although I didn’t dip it. It was a good, quick, light snack.

I gave it a 7/10.

The stand also sold Warm Hearted Cinnamon Bites, which are warm cinnamon donut bites with cream cheese icing and streusel ($9.99).

Hunter's Garlic Stake (Copyright 2025 by WKMG ClickOrlando - All rights reserved.)

I also stopped by the Burning Blade Tavern for a Hunter’s Garlic Stake ($11.99).

This garlic pretzel twist was not as light as the Frankenpretzel, but it was tasty, and the dipping sauce it came with really brought out the flavor.

I also give it a 7/10.

The Burning Blade also serves a burger and chicken sandwich, as well as a loaded potato and cheddar bites. They also have themed cocktails and beer.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ministry of Magic

It was late in the day by the time I got to this part of the park, and what better place to have a couple of sweet treats than a place inspired by Paris?

I stopped by the K. Rammelle candy shop, where I got two bars: Butterbeer Caramel and Pumpkin Juice ($5.50 each).

The Butterbeer one was a sweet and chewy twist on a favorite flavor to any Harry Potter fan. It hits like the other versions, too, at a 9/10.

The Pumpkin Juice bar had a very strong pumpkin flavor with a strong aftertaste as well, much stronger than the drink it’s modeled after.

I gave it a 7.5/10.

The candy shop had a number of other bars to try, with three for $12 and five for $20 deals. They also had French staples like truffles and macarons, as well as the classic magical treats you’ll find at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.

But for the grand finale, the best thing I ate in Epic Universe all day was the Butterbeer Crêpe from Café L’Air de la Sirène ($19.99).

It was so sweet but light and overall very fresh with a Butterbeer (or “Bieraubeurre” as it’s called in French) whipped cream and drizzle.

The strawberries were a nice touch on top, too, and the Butterbeer shortbread cookie was, well, the cookie on top.

This was a 10/10 without a doubt, and I knew it the second I tasted it. If you try no other sweet treat at Epic Universe, I recommend getting this.

The Café does boast a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu, including French-inspired foods like quiches and baguette sandwiches.

Celestial Park

I have to give an honorable mention to something you can get anywhere in Epic Universe: the ice in the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines.

I am a huge fan of pellet ice (think Chick-fil-A). I don’t really have a reason why, aside from I thought it melted faster than the traditional cubes at Universal and Islands of Adventure, which I appreciated to make fill-ups easier.

Pellet ice also gets a 10/10.
