ORLANDO, Fla. – Aquatica Orlando will have a bright glow this holiday season with the debut of its first-ever nighttime lantern festival.
Starting Nov. 8 and running select nights through Jan. 31, Illuminate: A Nighttime Lantern Festival will transform the water park into a glowing wonderland of light and imagination.
The event expands on Aquatica’s popular nighttime traditions by introducing five immersive realms filled with larger-than-life lanterns, interactive surprises and festive culinary delights. From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., guests can stroll glowing walkways and explore five enchanting environments: AquaLuma, Candy Cascade Falls, Enchanted Lagoon, Myst Wood Waters and Rivers of Discovery.

“Illuminate is unlike anything we’ve ever done at Aquatica. From glowing mermaids and candy-colored forests to a lantern safari brought to life on our Serengeti Express train, this festival will light up the night in a way that is both completely new and uniquely Aquatica,” said Bradley Gilmour, park president of Aquatica Orlando.
The event is designed to engage all five senses.
Guests will experience the glow of towering lanterns, soundscapes woven into each realm, and scents like cotton candy and campfire aromas. Pools and water slides will pause operations during the event so visitors can fully immerse themselves in the lantern festival.
For a limited time, guests can snag Illuminate tickets as part of a Black Friday Presale.
Foodies can take their experience to the next level with a Lantern Lanyard (available in five- or 10-punch options), giving them the flexibility to taste their way across the event while enjoying big savings. Pass Members can take advantage of exclusive discounts on admission and food lanyards. Standard Pass Member parking rules apply.
