PORT EVERGLADES, Fla. – It was a mightiest of welcomes to the Disney Cruise Line fleet.
During the official christening ceremony for the Disney Destiny on Monday, dazzling scenes from favorite Disney stories were brought to life with drones, projections, and music.
Pop-rock versions of classics from “Hercules,” “The Lion King,” “Frozen,” “Black Panther,” Pirates of the Caribbean, and more provided the perfect soundtrack for the show.

The Destiny’s inaugural sailing departs Nov. 20, showcasing a Disney heroes and villains theme on four- and five-night Bahamas and Western Caribbean cruises.

The ship will debut new entertainment such as “Disney Hercules,” a Broadway-style show, and Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King, a dining experience celebrating the music of “The Lion King.”
