ORLANDO, Fla. – We’ve said it all week, and for good reason, Thanksgiving brings some of the busiest travel days of the entire year, and Central Florida’s roads are already reflecting it.
For days, we’ve been preaching the same message on-air and across social media: slow down, pay attention, and be patient.
With millions of Floridians hitting the highways for family gatherings and last-minute travel, awareness is key to keeping everyone safe.

If you’re heading out to visit family, working through the holiday, or simply trying to navigate the congestion, a moment of courtesy can make a major difference. Giving someone the space to merge, letting a driver exit a parking lot, or simply taking a breath during delays can help reduce crashes and frustration during an already stressful travel period.
As a small holiday treat, some of our News 6 staff joined me on Wednesday’s stream to help share a fun message of holiday traditions and some of their favorite and not-so-favorite side dishes.
Whether you are traveling far or staying close to home, I hope you and your family enjoy a safe, peaceful, and happy Thanksgiving.
