ORLANDO, Fla. – Universal Orlando is shifting into high gear with its newest adrenaline-pumping ride, Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, coming in 2027.

The outdoor roller coaster will take over the spot once occupied by Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Florida, putting guests directly in the driver’s seat of the Fast & Furious universe.

“Riders will experience the exhilarating sensation of 360-degree drifting as they speed through jaw-dropping maneuvers – including a 170-foot vertical “spike” that will send riders nearly 17 stories in the air over the outskirts of Universal CityWalk," Universal said in a news release.

The new coaster joins Universal Orlando’s lineup of award-winning thrill rides and highlights the resort’s commitment to innovation and excitement. Universal Studios Hollywood is also launching its own version of the ride later this year.

As Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift races onto the scene, the Fast & Furious – Supercharged attraction will close for good in 2027. Universal has not revealed plans for what could take over that space.
