Thousands of people flocked to Volusia County's beaches and waterways on the Fourth of July and the sheriff's office was in the crowds with them, especially with the boaters.

"If it wasn’t for our military, we wouldn’t be where we’re at today," said Ben Dehart with Zambelli Fireworks. "That is my favorite part of of shooting fireworks on 4th of July."
