A Romanian man has been sentenced to four years in prison for organizing a wave of swatting calls and bomb threats against dozens of U.S. government targets, including members of Congress, cabinet-level officials, federal judges and the heads of federal law-enforcement agencies.

In a release, DOJ officials said that the man — Alan Filion, 18 — admitted to making over 375 swatting and threat calls between August 2022 and January 2024.
