Fantasy Football: Week 14 Los Angeles Rams vs. Las Vegas Raiders Thursday Night Football breakdown
Los Angeles tries to bet against Vegas without any future 'RAM'-ificationsI am deeply sorry about the “RAM"-ification pun in the title. [Watch Thursday Night Football on Prime Video: Sign up for a 30-day free trial]Pre-snap, the Chargers have five on the line. They're first in adjusted line yards after ending 2022 at the league average. The Chargers were the first team Las Vegas kept out of the box since Week 8. Regardless, his projected volume is too much to ignore between the injuries and teams on bye in Week 14.
wftv.comRams' Allen Robinson to undergo season-ending foot surgery, per Sean McVay
Receiver Allen Robinson will undergo season-ending surgery for a stress fracture in the navicular bone of his foot, Rams coach Sean McVay confirmed Sunday evening. The navicular bone is a curved bone that connects to the lower part of the ankle joint, per Healthline. “That’s another tough loss for us.”McVay said the Rams learned of Robinson’s surgery directive Friday after practice. Robinson was one of two Rams receivers with multiple receiving touchdowns in an offensively challenged season. Robinson joined Los Angeles this season after four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars followed by four more with the Chicago Bears.
wftv.comFantasy Football Week 6 Care/Don't Care: Eagles WRs prove you have to trust talent over everything
Wrote in Brown's #ReceptionPerception profile about how I think he is going to be the perfect complement to Smith's game. Week 6 was a reminder of what this duo can do even when Hurts isn’t firing at his best from start to finish. Brown averaged 11.2 yards after the catch per reception and his touchdown was a “make a play for” his quarterback type of deal. Ken Walker looks like a league winnerSeahawks rookie Ken Walker was the seventh highest-scoring fantasy running back this week heading into Sunday Night Football. Veteran Corey Davis looks like the top receiver on the team and he's still a good player; he's not going away.
wftv.comWhy the Rams' offense is a major concern, plus Geno Smith shredding expectations and NFL quarter-mark awards
The Los Angeles Rams offense is a major concern right nowThe Rams offense has gotten off to a terrible start this season. Robinson being a free-agent bust so far is definitely hindering the Rams, but he's not the biggest area of concern for the team. It's fairly amazing that the Panthers' quarterback play has been so bad that Darnold may legitimately be an upgrade over Mayfield. Hill is averaging 119 yards per game this season, 15.4 yards per reception and catching over 72% of his targets. Pederson has spearheaded the revival of the Jaguars as a top NFL team rather quickly and has mostly had Trevor Lawrence living up to his potential as a franchise quarterback.
wftv.comFantasy Football Week 5: Tight end rankings
I don't need to tell you how important targets are in fantasy, but they might be even more important for a tight end position that is so difficult to mine production from. All we want is security at the position, and that security factor can be boosted solely by the fact that a team's quarterback is looking for the tight end. Usually, where there are targets, production usually follows — and Week 4 was Higbee's best outing of the season. So basically, follow the targets when it comes to tight end. Here's the tight end position — check out where Higbee and the rest of the TEs landed in our analysts' rankings for Week 5:powered by FantasyProsECR ™ -
wftv.comFantasy Football Week 3 Wrap: Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars have arrived
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Los Angeles ChargersJustin Herbert was clearly compromised while playing through torn rib cartilage, but this Jacksonville team is fully legit. Austin Ekeler was held to just four yards on five carries but secured all eight of his targets. Receptions have saved Ekeler's fantasy start in PPR leagues, but he's yet to score a touchdown after hitting pay dirt 20 times last season. Fields has fewer completions over three games this season (23) than Cooper Kupp had catches over the first two weeks. Both Herbert and Pierce could be top-10 type fantasy backs moving forward if playing time cooperated (it won't, if Montgomery is back soon).
wftv.comRookie WR Drake London flies home when Falcons visit LA Rams
Drake London spent the past three seasons tearing up college defenses for USC, so football fans in his native Southern California weren't surprised when the big receiver got off to a strong NFL start with the Atlanta Falcons. The Los Angeles Rams fans in that SoCal contingent are hoping their Super Bowl champions can come up with ways to slow down London for just one week when the Falcons visit SoFi Stadium on Sunday for a meeting of teams hoping to avoid 0-2 starts. London caught 160 passes for 2,153 yards and 16 touchdowns in 27 games at USC before the Falcons made him the eighth overall draft pick last spring.
news.yahoo.comAkers, Robinson respond to lack of action with Rams' offense
Whether carrying the ball or making a lightning-fast recovery from a torn Achilles tendon, Cam Akers' brief NFL career has been all about getting places in a hurry. Akers got just three carries for no yards. “If Coach don’t think I’m being urgent enough, just be more urgent,” Akers said Wednesday.
news.yahoo.comFantasy Football: Wide receivers being undervalued in rankings and in drafts
ECR stands for "Expert Consensus Ranking," which means the average ranks of the fantasy football industry and is typically similar to ADP (which differs from site-to-site). Pay attention to Stafford's arm health, but assuming the QB is fine considering he dealt with the same issue last summer, Robinson looks like a top-15 fantasy receiver (with legit top fantasy WR upside should Cooper Kupp get injured). The touchdown potential is incredibly high on such an aggressive passing offense, so I rank Davis as a top-15 fantasy receiver. Aiyuk has the better fantasy season than teammate Samuel, who's being drafted many rounds earlier. [Try Yahoo Fantasy Plus for free to get premium football tools]Jalen Tolbert, Dallas Cowboys (ECR = WR86 vs DDD = WR51)Wan’Dale Robinson, New York Giants (ECR = WR81 vs DDD = WR53)Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers (ECR = WR107 vs DDD = WR62)Three rookie wideouts I’m much higher on compared to ADP/ECR.

wftv.comFour NFL teams to get right in fantasy football: Will Eagles pass enough to support A.J Brown?
Brown #11 of the Philadelphia Eagles looks on during OTAs at the NovaCare Complex on June 3, 2022 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Mitchell Leff/Getty Images)All last offseason I said that the San Francisco 49ers were the key to unlocking fantasy football in 2021. That said, I have no regrets about how much importance I put into trying to get this team right. As training camps dawn, I see four obvious teams we need to get right for 2022 fantasy. Brown and the analytics-heavy approach of the front office would seem to point to a desire to push the pass this season.
wftv.comQB Stafford: 'Right time and place' to give Rams discount
Matthew Stafford realizes he almost certainly could have gotten more money in a contract extension after his outstanding debut season with the Los Angeles Rams. After 13 NFL seasons and well over $230 million in earnings, Stafford admitted his priority isn't more dollars. It's more rings, and he believes his new four-year, $160 million deal through 2026 gives him the best opportunity to win them with the defending Super Bowl champions.

Receivers Godwin, Robinson top franchise tag list
(AP Photo/Jason Behnken, File)The big money that accompanies franchise tags for the 2021 season is going to receivers, safeties and linemen. So wideouts Chris Godwin, who helped the Buccaneers win the Super Bowl, and Chicago's Allen Robinson were tagged just before Tuesday's NFL deadline. Barring their teams working out long-term deals by July 15, they will earn about $19 million, $18 million and $13.7 million, respectively. Brady and Bucs, plus Bills and Rams win NFL wild-card games
The first tripleheader of NFL wild-card games saw Tom Brady extend his postseason record for victories to 31 with a 31-23 win for Tampa Bay at Washington on Saturday. After a quarter-century, the Bills got one of those triumphs that Brady collects — and they even figured out how to stop a Hail Mary. The previous playoff win was over Miami on Dec. 30, 1995. And it came in the Bills’ first home playoff game in 24 years, with a limited number of fans in attendance (6,700) for the first time this season. The Ravens averaged an NFL-best 191.9 yards rushing per game and their 3,071 yards rushing were third highest in NFL history.

Wims has three business days to appeal the suspension, under the collective bargaining agreement between the league and players' union.

Bears' offense seeks answers after poor showing against Rams
“I don’t ever remember having our own defense score more than our offense,” Nagy said. “That’s that’s that’s hard to do. The offensive line struggled against the strong front of the Rams (5-2), producing just 2.9 yards per carry. Foles was sacked four times, twice at the hands of former Bears linebacker Leonard Floyd, and he threw two interceptions.

The Falcons surrendered a 16-point advantage in the final 6 1/2 minutes to the Chicago Bears, who got three touchdown passes from backup quarterback Nick Foles and pulled out a 30-26 win on Sunday. It would have seemed downright improbable — if it hadn't happened for the second week in a row. The former Super Bowl MVP won it with a 28-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Miller with 1:53 remaining. He tossed a 3-yard touchdown pass to Graham to make it 26-16 with 6:20 to go. But Foles got his chance after Trubisky threw an interception in the third quarter that led to a Falcons field goal, pushing the lead to 26-10.
NFL players both eager & anxious to return during pandemic
By and large, however, those same players say they trust the protocols the NFL will have in place by the time practices resume and games return. Safeguards are expected to include daily temperature checks and frequent virus tests, with sick players quarantined for two weeks. We dont know how interesting. The pandemic hit home for a lot of players in April when Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller announced he had contracted COVID-19. And so, boy, I dont know. I dont know.
