Bamba, Rivers, Suggs all suspended after Magic-Wolves dustup
NEW YORK — (AP) — The NBA has suspended Orlando's Mo Bamba for four games and Minnesota's Austin Rivers for three games for their roles in an on-court altercation on Friday night. Bamba will forfeit $284,138 in salary, while Rivers will lose about $60,121 and Suggs will lose $47,740. Bamba, Rivers, Suggs and McDaniels were all ejected, as was Minnesota's Taurean Prince. Bamba and Rivers threw punches during the incident, and the NBA said Suggs and McDaniels “then entered the altercation as non-peacemakers." Both Rivers and Bamba had social media posts about the incident, which the league said continued the escalation.wftv.com

This time, the melee came late in the third quarter of Friday's game between the Orlando Magic and Minnesota Timberwolves and resulted in five players being ejected. Soon, the two were grappling as several teammates jumped in to either break up the fight or give their side some back-up. The Magic, up 10 at the time of the brawl, eventually won 127-120. That fight, instigated by Brooks throwing a punch at Mitchell's groin from the floor, led to Brooks being suspended one game and Mitchell fined $20,000 on Friday.wftv.com

Orange County basketball coach and retired firefighter dies from COVID-19
APOPKA, Fla. – The Apopka community in Orange County is mourning the loss of a beloved assistant basketball coach and a veteran of Orlando’s fire department. On Christmas Eve, Earl Graham went to the emergency room after feeling ill from COVID-19. Earl Graham was a volunteer football and basketball coach in the Orlando area for over 40 years. We are saddened to hear of the passing of retired Orlando firefighter Earl Graham who served the residents of Orlando from July 1974 through August 2002. We will truly miss his leadership and mentorship as a long-time youth basketball coach.
Davis, Lakers run past Rockets for 3-1 West semifinals lead

The key is can we finish, said Clippers coach Doc Rivers, Austin Rivers father. Whether it be a family problem, a kid problem, a wife problem, anything, there are issues that come in these guys life. Doc Rivers said in a weird way, there can be a positive to seeing players dealing with various issues. You win an NBA championship anytime, its a hell of an accomplishment. This NBA season will see the 22 remaining teams all play between 71 and 75 games before the playoffs, and the leagues plan is for a full four-round, best-of-seven-throughout postseason.
