Saturday's meeting at Las Vegas Motor Speedway lasted 75 minutes, the same length as last week's contentious session at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Several drivers last week likened the Charlotte meeting to an episode of "Seinfeld" as it became "an airing of grievances." The Las Vegas meeting was much calmer and NASCAR was able to complete presentation, which was expanded to include information from questions raised by the drivers at Charlotte. Although the Las Vegas meeting was optional, NASCAR said it was well-attended despite "some notables" who were not present. The Associated Press confirmed that Kevin Harvick, one of the most outspoken drivers about the Next Gen, was present for the Las Vegas meeting.
wftv.comBuescher looks to be playoff spoiler at home track Texas
Now Buescher, a native of Prosper, Texas, returns to his home state hoping to again play the spoiler. The second round of the playoffs open Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway, where Buescher and Keselowski finished eighth and ninth in May in the exhibition All-Star race. “I’ve had really good teammates through the years at different organizations at the Cup level, but nobody that’s put in the amount of effort as Brad Keselowski,” Buescher said. The race is concerning for the remaining 12 drivers in the playoff field because the second round has so many variables. He was the points leader before the reset and the only driver to clinch a berth in the second round ahead of Bristol.

Truex also referred back to Kevin Harvick's words after his car caught fire in the opening playoff race at Darlington three weeks ago. There’s probably some car owners that don’t want to hear it because it costs money to change the cars. “There’s the ‘everything is wrong with this car’ camp and there’s the ‘nothing is wrong with this car’ camp," Keselowski added.

We just need everything to align to make it happen.”In his first year as a driver/owner at Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing, Keselowski needs a victory to make the postseason for the 10th consecutive year. Blaney is second in points, just 19 points ahead of fourth-place Truex, but neither has won a race — the virtual automatic ticket to a spot in the postseason. After Richmond, the series moves to the road course at Watkins Glen and finishes the regular season at the superspeedway that is Daytona. He's won just once this year. Denny Hamlin has four, Harvick and Truex three each and Keselowski, Joey Logano and Kurt Busch each have two.
