Fantasy Basketball Pickups: Get a new look for the new year with these waiver wire adds
And, like other holiday weekends, there’s a decent chance you can catch the fantasy competition snoozing when it comes to utilizing the waiver wire. Marcus Morris, LA Clippers (48 percent rostered)Morris doesn't offer much help on the defensive end or dish many dimes. Entrenched as a full-time starter while missing just one game thus far this season, Morris is boring but reliable. With Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) expected to remain sidelined for a bit longer, Reid's relevance seems secure in the short term. Over the last six outings, Sochan has averaged 13.7 points, 7.3 boards, 3.3 dimes and 1.0 blocks across 28.0 minutes.wftv.com

2-time NBA loser San Diego perfect host for 3 teams' camps
But Lue knows enough about the tourist and Navy town to have his Clippers hold training camp in San Diego this week. There’s another attraction for the three teams, which all had championship hopes derailed by injuries last year, to descend on San Diego. They are holding training camp at the practice gym at San Diego State, where Kawhi Leonard starred for two seasons before jumping to the NBA. Judge weighs ordering switch to paper ballots in Georgia
They've asked Totenberg to order the state to immediately switch to hand-marked paper ballots. The plaintiffs had asked Totenberg in August to order Georgia to use hand-marked paper ballots for that election. Bryan Tyson, a lawyer representing state election officials, told the judge the state plans to announce the new system it's selected in "a matter of days." Four county election officials, three of whom will oversee elections this fall, testified that it would be hard to switch to hand-marked paper ballots in time for those elections. The plaintiffs represented by Brown are asking the state to use hand-marked paper ballots along with its existing election management system and to use the ballot scanners it currently uses for paper absentee and provisional ballots for all ballots.chicagotribune.com
