49ers DE Charles Omenihu arrested on suspicion of domestic violence
San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Charles Omenihu was arrested on Monday afternoon on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence, the San Jose Police Department announced in a media release. Omenihu, 25, was arrested in San Jose after police were called to a home to investigate a domestic violence report. When they arrived, Omenihu's girlfriend, whose name is being withheld, alleged that Omenihu had pushed her to the ground during an argument. Omenihu cooperated with police, and gave a statement (which has not been released) to the officers. In addition to being arrested, he was served with an emergency protection order, requiring him to stay away from his girlfriend.

The 25-year-old Omenihu is in his second season with the 49ers and part of their defensive line rotation. Omenihu played 15 defensive snaps in a win Sunday over Dallas.

All it took was Derrick Henry surpassing 2,000 yards rushing and rookie Sam Sloman’s 37-yard field goal that bounced off the upright and through for a 41-38 victory over the Houston Texans. The Titans then capped a long drive with a 5-yard TD run by Ryan Tannehill with less than two minutes remaining. Henry had put the Titans on top 10-3 when he dashed 52 yards early in the second quarter.
Steelers' Roethlisberger active after virus-related absence
