Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur says there are no plans for the team to release Josh Jacobs as the three-time Pro Bowl running back faces two misdemeanor charges stemming from what police have described as a physical confrontation with his girlfriend.

Josh Jacobs gained 107 yards from scrimmage and scored a touchdown for a sixth straight game as the Green Bay Packers clinched a playoff berth while producing the first shutout of the NFL season, 34-0 over the hapless New Orleans Saints.

Drew Pyne was 22 of 28 for 262 yards with three touchdowns, Michael Mayer hauled in 11 passes for 118 yards and two scores and Notre Dame defeated No. 16 Brigham Young 28-20 on Saturday night.
