The players' letter was sent Wednesday to U.S. Soccer President Cindy Parlow Cone, as well as former president Carlos Cordeiro. Dames has a reputation as an excellent soccer coach over 25 years of coaching thousands of soccer players. In their letter, the players called for transparency and action. We demand that USSF release the full findings of its investigation in a timely manner and commit to enacting meaningful institutional reforms to protect players,” the letter said.

Lloyd scored a pair of goals in the opening five minutes, and added her third and fourth before halftime as the United States built a 6-0 lead. Lloyd's scoring outburst was reminiscent of the 2015 World Cup final, when she scored three goals in the first 16 minutes against Japan. It is the first time that the United States has faced Paraguay, which has never played in the Olympics or the World Cup. The United States plays Paraguay again on Tuesday in Cincinnati.

Pride get shut out again, lose 2-0 to Utah
ORLANDO - The season-long problem of scoring goals is rearing its head again for the Orlando Pride. For the second straight game and eighth time this season, the Pride were shut out, this time by the Utah Royals, who earned a 2-0 win at Exploria Stadium on Saturday. World Cup standout Christen Press scored in the 60th minute ,and then Amy Rodriguez added an insurance goal in the 77th minute for the Royals, who improved to 3-0 against the Pride this season. Pride fall to Utah, remain winless on season
ORLANDO – A poor start to the season didn’t get much better for the Orlando Pride on Saturday. The Pride are now winless in four games to start the year following a 1-0 loss to the Utah Royals at Orlando City Stadium. Christen Press scored the game’s only goal in the 19th minute for the Royals, who ended up outshooting the Pride, 17-15. The Pride did have 10 corner kicks to Utah’s five, but they couldn’t cash in on those chances and fell to 0-3-1 on the season. Next up for the Pride is a game at the Houston Dash on May 5.
