Moms for Liberty changed the political make-up of school boards across the state of Florida through a commitment to endorsing school board candidates. Today, Moms for Liberty Florida has not made any contributions to local school board candidates across Florida and is poised to be just a minor player this cycle, according to campaign finance records, interviews with former local members and experts on culture war movements and a survey of public social media pages for local chapters, some of which are now defunct.

A federal survey shows that, on average, U.S. households spent 12% of the family budget on food in 2024. For very-low-income households, it was 33%. Republican candidate for Congress Dr. Nizam Razack says he has received death threats because he is Muslim. The candidate, a neurosurgeon from Orlando, is running in the U.S. House District 11 Republican primary. A report about a July 10 incident (completely redacted because a criminal investigation is in progress) was filed with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. Razack told VoxPopuli that OCSO had advised him not to campaign door-to-door for his own safety. He has since hired his own security to accompany him to campaign events.

Orange County’s in-person voters won’t be mailed sample ballots for the upcoming primary, a shift that has upset some voters and election advocates. Primary voters can view, and then print, a sample ballot via a QR code, which was provided on a mailer sent to their homes.
