TEMPE, Ariz. — (AP) — Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the season. Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury confirmed the extent of the injury during his Tuesday news conference. The Cardinals and Kingsbury feared that Murray had a serious injury after Monday's game with Kingsbury admitting it “doesn't look good.”Further tests on Tuesday confirmed that pessimism. Murray was replaced by backup Colt McCoy, who will likely remain the starter for the rest of the season. Murray took a lot of ridicule after it was discovered his new contract mandated at least four hours of “independent study” during game weeks, which was unusual for an NFL quarterback.

foxnews.comIt's never pretty for Patriots, but a win over Cardinals helps their playoff hopes
The Patriots are 7-6 after a 27-13 win over the Arizona Cardinals and if the season ended today, they'd be in the playoffs as the AFC's seventh seed. That might surprise some people whose only entry into the Patriots' season has been the complaints about Matt Patricia calling plays or a short-lived Bailey Zappe-Jones quarterback controversy. While the Cardinals didn't want to lose their $230.5 million quarterback, it was a challenge for the Patriots. The Cardinals went for it on fourth-and-1 when they could have tried a 50-yard field goal, but McCoy's pass to a wide open Trey McBride wasn't high enough and it was knocked away by linebacker Jahlani Tavai. The Patriots are good on defense, limited offensively, well coached by Belichick and at the moment a playoff team.

wftv.comThe peak 49ers team finally showed up in a win over the Cardinals, and it was impressive
Christian McCaffrey didn't even score and the 49ers put up five touchdowns. The 49ers were very impressive in a 38-10 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night in Mexico City. But if this is the 49ers team we can expect the rest of the way, we might see them play deep into January. In the weeks since that trade, many have cited the 49ers as a team that can win the NFC. The Cardinals didn't generate much on offense against a 49ers defense that at times this season has looked like the best in the NFL.

Mayfield was sharp all night, helping the Browns (10-4) bounce back from a 47-42 loss to Baltimore last Monday night. The win got the Browns closer to clinching their first playoff spot since 2002, the NFL’s longest drought. New York's opening drive stalled at the 8 after McCoy's throw to Evan Engram fell incomplete in the end zone. It could've worked, too: Kicker Graham Gano was wide open in the end zone.

Matchup of division leaders: Seahawks vs Giants. The Giants?
(AP Photo/Chris Szagola)In this strangest of NFL seasons in this weirdest of years, here's a matchup of division leaders you wouldn't expect: Seattle hosting the New York Giants. “If you win your division, you win your division,” Carroll says, and he knows: Seattle went 7-9 in 2010 and won the NFC West, then beat New Orleans in a playoff game. Patrick Mahomes has thrown for at least 300 yards seven times this season and has 22 straight games with at least one TD passing. New England has won the past five meetings, including a 2018 divisional playoff game. Chargers WR Keenan Allen leads the NFL with 85 receptions and has a TD catch in five straight games.
