A spokesperson with the Orange County Corrections Department told News 6 that the federal government owes the county hundreds of thousands of dollars in reimbursement payments for housing ICE detainees inside the Orange County Jail.

The Orange County Corrections Department confirmed Tuesday that since the beginning of 2025, the county jail has had 997 bookings with an ICE detainer.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections has reversed its position and now says it will allow an anti-death penalty minister inside the execution chamber for an upcoming execution.

One person died and another hospitalized following a crash in Osceola County on Sunday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

None of the inmates have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the county. Officials are meeting with the employees who tested positive to see who they had close contact with. County officials said all staff and inmates have been issued masks and are required to wear them, crews have increased the cleaning of all areas of the facility, the staff is enforcing social distancing and each new inmate is screened and quarantined before entering the general population.
