Five fantasy questions we need answered this NFL offseason: Should Derek Carr go to the NFC South?
With Derek Carr currently on the free agent market, it's worth digging into each team. Someone on the Jimmy Garoppolo or Derek Carr tier could step in for Tom Brady and keep the Bucs atop the NFC South. The Saints don't have a ton of talent on offense that needs saving outside of star 2022 rookie receiver Chris Olave. I can’t remember a unit with proven good players rendered so completely nonfunctional due to their pass blocking. The skill position players, especially the pass-catchers, were an issue last year and they are shrouded with questions heading into the offseason.
wftv.comFantasy Football: Don't expect run-heavy NFL teams to help your pass catchers
In the 2021 NFL season, every team threw the ball on at least half of its offensive snaps. Don't expect run-heavy NFL teams to change their approachOh, no one is throwing a parade for the 2-4 Bears. If you swapped Travis Kelce and Goedert (putting Goedert on the Chiefs), I'd be ranking Goedert at TE1 every week. He’s posted a reasonable 214 yards in the last three weeks, he’s clearly the No. Atlanta’s passing tree is especially narrow, and he was a credible fantasy option through the first three weeks (16-214-2).

Now he gets a Houston defense that's allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to running backs since the beginning of last season and 4.7 YPC this year. Bad weather contributed in Week 1, but Chicago is still by far the run-heaviest team in football, and this week the Bears are home favorites. The rookie has impressed and gets a Bears run defense this week that ranks 27th in DVOA, so he's undervalued in DFS. Gabriel Davis could return this week, but Diggs looks like a weekly top-three fantasy WR regardless in the pass-heaviest offense in football. The impressive rookie has run nearly 50% of his routes from the slot this season, where the Bengals have ceded the third-most fantasy points (conversely, Cincinnati has allowed the fewest fantasy points to outside receivers).

Gabriel Davis could return this week, but Diggs looks like a weekly top-three fantasy WR regardless in the pass-heaviest offense in football. This matchup also has the second-highest total (53.5 points) of the week. Now he gets a Houston defense that's allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to running backs since the beginning of last season and 4.7 YPC this year. wftv.comRookie WR Drake London flies home when Falcons visit LA Rams
Drake London spent the past three seasons tearing up college defenses for USC, so football fans in his native Southern California weren't surprised when the big receiver got off to a strong NFL start with the Atlanta Falcons. The Los Angeles Rams fans in that SoCal contingent are hoping their Super Bowl champions can come up with ways to slow down London for just one week when the Falcons visit SoFi Stadium on Sunday for a meeting of teams hoping to avoid 0-2 starts. London caught 160 passes for 2,153 yards and 16 touchdowns in 27 games at USC before the Falcons made him the eighth overall draft pick last spring.

No. 20 USC rallies again to beat Arizona 34-30 on late TD
20 USC beat Arizona 34-30 on Saturday. “A lot of teams would like to be in that position.”USC (2-0, 2-0 Pac-12) was outplayed by Arizona State last week before scoring two touchdowns in the final three minutes of a 28-27 victory. Another drive into the red zone, another trip without points. “That's the bottom line.”THE TAKEAWAYUSC played undisciplined at times and was disjointed at times on offense, particularly in the red zone. No. 20 USC rallies from 13 down late, stuns ASU 28-27
20 Southern California rallied from a late 13-point deficit for a 28-27 victory over Arizona State on Saturday in the Pac-12's long-delayed season opener. Bru McCoy caught a deflected 26-yard TD pass with 2:52 left for the Trojans (1-0), and Max Williams recovered the onside kick. USC's defense then stopped Arizona State (0-1) on downs near midfield with 50 seconds left to preserve an astonishing comeback for perpetually embattled coach Clay Helton's team. New Arizona State co-defensive coordinator Marvin Lewis also was on the verge of a resilient debut before the Trojans broke through. “I don’t think we were out of gas,” Arizona State safety Evan Fields said.
