It’s likely the Guardians also will bring up several minor league coaches and field coordinators for the series. In Friendly But Sharp Terms, Flagler Beach Draws a Conditional Roadmap for the County on The Gardens Development

The Flagler Beach City Commission is not opposing The Gardens, the revived proposed development that would bring between 335 and 453 homes on county acreage surrounding John Anderson Highway, south of State Road 100. Until then, the objections and conditions had been more of a wish list from a grass-roots group that’s been battling the Gardens, called Preserve Flagler Beach and Bulow Creek. Flagler Beach as a city commission will have undeniable standing. Flagler Beach wants The Gardens to commit to an overpass or an underpass crossing John Anderson Highway, between the two sides of the development, for example. The Gardens development plans to elevate itself with fill.

Flagler Beach Commission Will Lay Down 4 Conditions for The Gardens Development, Adding to County’s Pressure

Before it is given clearance, the 453-home Gardens development on John Anderson highway that has drawn intense resistance from Flagler Beach is facing rising pressure to meet conditions first set out by the County Commission at an epic-length meeting last week, and now new conditions being set out by the Flagler Beach City Commission. That’s not the Flagler Beach City Commission’s approach. It’s laying down four specific conditions and hoping they have enough leverage over The Gardens, given that The Gardens depend on Flagler Beach for water and sewer service, to make the conditions stick. “That includes Flagler Beach,” he said. (Actually, Flagler Beach commissioners could not do so as a body, since that would amount to an unadvertised meeting of the commission.

Hit or error? MLB official scorers work remotely thru virus

Baseball is back, but because of the coronavirus, official scorers this season will rule remotely on hits and errors and other plays. MLB is limiting the number of people at the ballpark, including in the press box, and decided official scorers could make their calls without seeing the game in person. Probably a touch unfair to the official scorer, which could end up affecting the players, Francona said. "Its tough enough to be an official scorer when youre sitting up high. You never know until you try it.So the scorers will render their rulings from the study or porch or kitchen table, the decision then debated by countless would-be official scorers also watching while safe at home.

Flagler Beach Will Allow Limited Dog Tethering Under Strict Guidelines as It Revises Animal Ordinance

Contrasting with Flagler County and Palm Coast government, Flagler Beach last week all but approved revisions of its animal ordinance long sought by the Humane Society, with some strict restrictionsbut not a banon dog tethering. A dog may be tethered outside longer as long as its in visual range of its owner at all times. Some Flagler County commissioners expressed interest in looking at their ordinance again, but pending Palm Coasts actions. Her dog is tethered outside for that time, because she doesnt have a fenced in yard. So my suggestion is, give an alternative to the dog owner for obedience training instead of a fine.
